Eye exams are an important part of health maintenance for everyone. Adults should have their eyes tested to keep their prescriptions current and to check for early signs of eye disease. School aged children usually get their vision tested by the school nurse, but that is only part of the picture. It is important to have the health of your kids eyes checked as well.

General eye exams include, Complete Eye Exam, Checking for glasses (refraction) Exam, Contact Lens Exam, and iWellness Exam.

iWellness Exam

Apart of Dr. Zdenek's Eye Care for Heroes Program, an iWellness exam is a general overview of the health of your eye. Using the latest Optical Coherence Tomography technology, Dr. Zdenek will get a snapshot of your retina and information which will aid in the diagnosis of glaucoma.

Glasses Exam (refraction)

A seperat test and seperate exam from a complete eye exam, Dr. Zdenek can test your eyes to ensure that you are seeing the best that you can see. Using the lates technology, Dr. Zdenek utilizes an automated refractor to start off your Glasses Exam.

There are several different reasons someone may need glasses: Farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

Complete Eye Exam

A Complete Eye Exam with Dr. Zdenek should be an annual part of your life. Statistics show that you could loose 40% of you vision from Glaucoma without even knowing it! The best way to ensure that your eyes are healthy is to have an annual eye exam with an Ophthalmologist (MD). Dr. Zdenek has been testing eyes for over 30 years and with the latest technology, Dr. Zdenek can show you just how healthy your eyes really are!

Contact Lens Exam

A Contact lens is a medical device on the surface of your eye (Cornea) so it is important to have your cornea checked every year along with your contact lens prescriptin. During your Contact Lens Exam with Dr. Zdenek he will be checking several different aspects of your eyeball and your cornea. Do you have any protein build up from wearing contact lenses? Is it safe for you to sleep in your contact lenses? Does the contact lens fit your eyeball? Is your contact lens causing your Dry Eyes? All these questions and more will be answered during your Contact Lens Exam with Dr. Zdenek.

Since the contact lens is fit snug to your eyeball, the prescription for your Contact Lenses is most likely different from your Glasses prescription.
