Gene W. Zdenek, MD Founded ZEI in 1981
Doc, as those closest to him refer, has 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren. He loves working around the house and fixing (MacGyver-ing) what he can. He loves learning new trades and even more so he loves teaching. His latest project was helping his oldest daughter build a deck patio in her backyard. Check out his Facebook for pics!
Raul, Building Manager with RMB since 1994
Raul has been with Reseda Medical Building since 1994. He has 3 grown kids and 5 grandkids. In his spare time he loves fixing up his motorcycles and old cars. He is the flirt of the office and always lends a hand to the woman in the office whenever they need some 'muscle help' with a project. Smiling through the office he keeps our workplace clean and running without problems.
Jennifer is the middle of 5 siblings and loves hanging out with her nieces. She is also Godmother to her best friends little girl, born in 2010. On the weekends she loves to help dogs find their "Forever Home" at pet adoptions and train her foster dogs. The spring months are the best time to be outdoors with the dogs and enjoy a little sunshine. As far as vacationing goes, she would love to spend time in the mountains!
David, Director of Medical Billing with ZEI since 2008
David grew up on Huntington Beach, CA and has always lived a very active lifestyle, playing sports was a big part of his life. On his 18th Birthday he was drafted by the Houston Astros Baseball Team; after a lot of thinking, David decided to go to college where he studied Health and Sports Science at the University of Oklahoma. After he won a National Championship playing baseball for the Sooners, he landed a job traveling around the country managing with a major hotel organization. David started as the Office Manager for Zdenek Eye Institute in 2008. He enjoys the challenge of managing in the Health Care arena, always wondering what the next governmental change will be enforced for medicine. When not at work, David enjoys hiking and mountain biking in the Santa Monica Mountains (if you are a local hiker, you might find him hiking the famous “Backbone Trail” in early 2014). He also enjoys getting his hands dirty in his vegetable garden, gathering a freshly picked home grown harvest to cook up with his friends and family. For a good conversation starter, ask David where his favorite place to live was(there are several for him to choose from)
Zasha is practically the baby of the family except for the little brother (who can actually claim the title). One of her favorite things to do is sit in front of the fire with a good book and her dog, Logan on her lap. When she is not hanging out with her dog she is usually with friends at a BBQ. She loves to listen to live music and likes to go out dancing. If she could go anywhere for 4 weeks she would go camping at Sequoia National park with her family...because there is no entertainment like family entertainment.
Monica, Receptionist with ZEI since 2014
Monica is a mother to a handsome boy (Michael), and is married to an amazing Marine Veteran (Josh). She loves spending time with family going to places like Disneyland, Universal Studio, and The Zoo, volunteering at her old high school football games or just simply spending quality time at home. Monica’s favorite things are being outdoors, crocheting, drawing, and cooking. She has 4 dogs, 1 Rabbit, 1 bearded dragon, and a turtle. She graduated Valley College of Medical Careers as a medical assistance and is certified as a Phlebotomist and getting her Phlebotomy license soon. She eventually wants to continue her education to becoming a RN.
Michele, Receptionist with ZEI since 2018
I joined the team in August of 2018 and I feel right at home. Well, not quite at home, I am missing my four-legged furry meowing friends, Luna and Scooter. I am known by my friends as ‘The Cat Lady’ and I love it’. My weekend is filled with watching my favorite movies and seeing family and friends as often as I can. If you ever want to bribe me, I love sushi! I haven’t quite settled on my favorite sushi roll, so if you have a favorite I would love to hear what your favorite sushi is.
